OUR PASTORS
Ade and Hanh have been married for over 10 years and have two amazing children. They have been in ministry for over a decade. Together, they have gained significant ministry and leadership experience in most aspects of church life - including leading a campus at iSEE CHURCH - a global multisite church; leading a Bible College in Brisbane, Australia; and serving on the core team at London Riverside Church - a significant intercultural church in London.

In 2020, they moved from Australia to London with a heart to reach this great city with the message of Jesus. Ade and Hanh are passionate about seeing people encounter God - Father, Son & Holy Spirit - in a practical and supernatural way, so that they can grow and make an impact in their world for God and for good.

Ade is an ordained minister with the Australian Christian Churches (Assemblies of God Australia).

OUR MISSION // Why Do We Exist
Reach people to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ, helping them ENCOUNTER Jesus, GROW together in community and IMPACT their world for God and for good.

The mission statement of LVLS CHURCH is derived from the final words of Jesus to His followers. These words are known as the Great Commission.

“Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.” Matthew 28:19 - 20 (TPT)

OUR STRATEGY// How We Intend To Fulfil Our Mission
We intend to fulfil our mission through Weekend Gatherings, Small Groups and Teams.

WEEKEND SERVICES (ENCOUNTER)
Our weekend services are a place for celebration, inspiration and salvation. It is a place where we passionately encounter Jesus, through praise and worship, the teaching of the Word, and create a place for people to become followers of Jesus. It is a safe place to invite unchurched people to experience church for the first time.

How We Share Jesus with Others
As we continue to reach people far from God, every one of us can do our part by following these four principles:

●  accepting personal responsibility
●  building personal relationships
●  sharing your personal story
●  giving a personal invitation

How We Can Contribute To Others Salvation:

● Pray – Pray that we might reach people in each of these areas with the Good News of Jesus.
●  Provide – Give your time and resources to reach people for Christ.
●  Participate – Go to our cities, nation, and world to serve others and show people the love of God.
●  Publicise – Share your personal stories and testimonies of the goodness of God with others.

SMALL GROUPS (GROW)
Getting connected at LVLS CHURCH means participating in a small group. We believe that one of the best ways to grow stronger in our faith is by doing life with other people who can help us along the journey. Life was not meant to be lived alone or in isolation. This is why there will be an emphasis on developing authentic relationships through our ‘Groups’. Groups are where people can connect, grow and belong.

TEAMS (IMPACT)
The Bibles teaches us that the church can also be called the Body of Christ and that each of us has a special work to do to help it grow to be healthy and full of love. The goals of ‘Teams’ is to help create the space for us to outwork gifts and passions so that we can impact our world for God and good. We want you to discover what you do well and take steps to use your gifts to make a difference in the church and our local community.

We want to be passionate people, passionate about God and life. We believe that passionate people live by the following cultures.

ENCOUNTER IS OUR DESIRE
We understand that everything about the faith-life is birthed from an encounter with God and we desire to encounter God through, His Presence, His Promise and His Power

GOD’S WORD IS OUR FOUNDATION
We understand that the Bible is the final authority to our lives – we read it, meditate on it and apply it daily in our lives. Therefore, making it the foundation on which we build our lives.

PRAYER IS OUR PRIORITY
We understand that prayer (and fasting) is transformative and as a result, we make it a priority to communicate with God regularly, knowing that God both hears and answers our prayers.

GENEROSITY IS OUR LIFESTYLE
We want to be good stewards of our resources so that we can be generous with our time, talents and treasures and have a lifestyle of impacting others for good.

PASSION IS OUR EXPRESSION
We want to enthusiastically express our love for God, people and life. We understand that if it is worth doing, it is worth doing with all our heart, mind and soul.

DISCIPLESHIP IS OUR FOCUS
We understand that discipleship is a lifelong process and as a result, we make it our focus to mature in our faith by growing in the knowledge of Jesus, applying His teaching in our lives and displaying His nature through our lives.

OUR BELIEFS // What is our theology?
We hold four essential beliefs to be true.

The Bible is the Word of God
God’s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, and we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is, “What does the Bible say?” We practise daily Bible reading and Bible study. The Bible is the basis for all we believe.

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God
Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for all our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between God and us. He baptises believers in the Holy Spirit and will return to earth to consummate history.

We believe that you must be born again
God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God’s grace - not human effort - and must be received personally by repentance and faith. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgement. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.

Believers can be Spirit Filled and Spirit Led
We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us. Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit by simply asking. We seek to practise a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right.

OUR STRUCTURE // How We Practise Accountability
As you consider investing your heart, time, family, and finances into the life of a church, it is important for you to feel confident in church leadership. Our goal in sharing the details of the LVLS CHURCH’s governance is that you will understand that our church is structured to support the values of integrity, accountability, and spiritual authority.

Guided by Pastors.
The pastoral staff team led by our Senior Pastor. This team oversees the day to day ministry and operations of the church. These staff pastors serve the congregation and are responsible for the development of the spiritual life of the church.

Oversight & Protection
We are overseen by the Lead Pastor of London Riverside Church in Dagenham (Ps Gowan Wheeler) and its Senior Leadership Team. The team at London Riverside Church provide spiritual protection and accountability to LVLS.

In addition, our pastors are also mentored by various pastors in Australia.

London Riverside Church is protected by Trustees/Board who oversee the finance of LVLS CHURCH.

OUR FINANCES // How We Practise Giving
At LVLS CHURCH we believe generosity should be our lifestyle, and such as we practise the act of giving tithes and offerings to support the Body of Christ, the church, as God commands.

Tithe & Tithing
According to the Bible, the tithe of our labour/ income belongs to God and tithing is the practise of giving the first 10% of our income to the local church. The tithe is the primary practical way we acknowledge that God is first in our lives, but it also is the primary way for us to support the work of the church – reaching people to help them become passionate followers of Jesus.

Offerings
An offering is any giving over and above the tithe to support the work of the church.

The Bible teaches us that the giving of tithes and offerings is worship to Jesus, and an expression of the relationship between the individual giver and the Lord – an expression of gratitude towards God.

Currently our tithes and offerings are collected through the Stewardship Platform by London Riverside Church on behalf of LVLS.

At LVLS, we also give tithes and offerings to different churches/ministries.
